Catfish fishing Tips

Catfish fishing is quite good on the Western edge of the State. The Red River holds numerous trophy-sized channel catfish and they are fairly easy to catch.

These channel catfish tend to like cutbait-preferably cut sucker. But if you can catch some goldeye, they tend to work well as cutbait also.

The best fishing tends to be in the latter part of the summer....peaking in late August.
